Our journey began in Durban with all our bags, Matt's parents took us to the airport, goodbyes are always hard. Our flight to Johannesburg was good but a bit bumpy! We had a long wait for our flight to Hong Kong. We flew Cathay Air. It was a nice airline and we had a good flight, it was a long 12 hour flight. The food on the flight was good, we even got a magnum for dessert. Once we got to Hong Kong, we had a long delay before our next flight to Hangzhou because there was bad weather. On our flight we met people from South Africa, Matt and Derick. We had a coffee at Starbucks with Matt and found out he lives and works in Shanghai, we exchanged 'we chat' and hoped to meet up with him in our journeys in China.
The flight to Hangzhou was long and very bumpy, there were even screams as we landed, we were happy to have landed safely. All went well going through customs and our bags arrived safely. Woody, Matt's Chinese friend, was waiting for us at the airport to fetch us and take us to his city, Shaoxing.
